Onother fun challenge today! Great image - this is my entry for this week. It's an ATC - the background was made by using one of those nets that oranges come in. I taped it to the back of the ATC and ther brayered over it with Archival Inks plum. Then I took the net off and brayered over it with distress inks scattered straw. stamp is by Inque Boutique.

I made this simple card for the TGIF challenge this week. The background is cheap brown paper - crumpled and sponged with bleach, then I sanded it a little. The writing and the watch are white embossed and highlighted with perfect pearls. That never shows on the screen though... :(

Perfect theme for me :)) alot of my projects include lace, I can never get enough of it...

I also used some pink pepper on this one - I brought it home from Egypt about five years ago. It looks and smells so nice, but there is no way I would ever acctually EAT any of it - The color is not even waterproof ;)

So the theme of this card may as well be : Sugar and spice and all the things nice - that's what little girls are made of :))

Endlich wieder mal eine Challenge geschafft!! Gothic Arches - Black, white and a hint of red

Ok, I really like to look at black and white combinations but I am so bad at creatig them - To me my pieces always look too naked *sigh* So I decided to make a miniature gothic arch for this challenge. Just some time ago I finished John Irving's "Until I find you"... so now you know where the inspiration came from *lol* Not quite as thrilling as some of his other novels but still worth reading...

For over two years I have been absolutley unable to paint - so I just kind of stuck to the mixed media - stamping thing. I drives me crazy not beeing able to create...

But two days ago I read a post on Pilar Pollocks blog and it encouraged me to start painting again - and mostly it encouraged me not to be so hard on myself ;))

This is the first paintig, it's 70 x 50cm. There are three more in progress... Thank you Pilar for helping me untie that knot!

When I make backgrounds without patterned paper I usually use Distress Inks. I love the color palette and how the inks blend so well using just a sponge to apply. This is my card for this weeks challenge

(someday I'll find out how to get things into the scanner straight... *sigh*) :))

This is for a challenge at Hermines Place She made this beautiful background to download and create something... I have to tell you - this was a tough one! After adhering the backgound to my card it already looked finished :)) It's so beautiful! It took me a while to figure out what to add...

One thing that has been on my mind for quite some time is how the people on those cute vintage pictures would feel if they could see the artwork done with their pictures now.... surley they must be very very very old or they just missed it... What would they think about party hats,butterfly wings ect.? Some might be delighted others might just say: Why me? :))

The box with the boys is an empty cigar box - so you can imagine the size of the entire thing. The very first piece I acctually sold :))

This was alot of fun to make - although very messy... ;) I painted a piece of glass with acrylic colors and scratched away some parts after it was dry. The pictures are glued to the back side (I used some of Rein's freebies - THANK YOU!) Then I stamped the glass with StazOn and used some Distress Embossing Powder for the edges. Stamp by Nara Studio.

Diesmal hab ich was ganz neues ausprobiert... Stempeln auf Fimo. Ist gar nicht mal so einfach ;) Coloriert hab ich es nach dem backen mit Archival Inks von Ranger.

I tried something competley different this time... This image is stamped on Polymer Clay and colored with Archival Inks after baking.

Thanks to Toys R Us I am the proud owner of a spin and splash machine :) I didn't like the splash part too much though, so I just held in my Marvy Markers to see what happens... I think the result is pretty cool. Definitly worth working on some more :))
