I've been away from all the wonderful challenges for quite some time now... If you take a look here you'll understand why :) I have been so busy trying to go in a different direction - and man it feels GOOD!!!! I'm just learning - no perfection expected and I am having so much fun on the way. I can recommend Suzi's classes to EVERYONE! Here are a few samples of what I have been up to lately
This is my entry for this weeks challenge on Mixed media monday. It's a card, but I'll never be able to send it by mail because the shells are so delicate. One good reason to vistit my dear friend :) to give her this little card...
Onother fun challenge today! Great image - this is my entry for this week. It's an ATC - the background was made by using one of those nets that oranges come in. I taped it to the back of the ATC and ther brayered over it with Archival Inks plum. Then I took the net off and brayered over it with distress inks scattered straw. stamp is by Inque Boutique.
Ok, christmas is over... but I can't seem to make friends with winter and snow unless it has something to do with christmasy sparkle. Plus - you can't start making christmas cards too early, right? ;)) This is my entry for this weeks challenge.
This swap was hosted by Lisa at Simple Journeys - quite some time ago - I'm really ashamed that I didn't get to show the banner earlier. But - better late than never ;) Thank you all who participated for these wonderful wonderful pennants!
I got this award form june and I I'm very honored to have gotten it. Now the thing is that you have to pass it on to 7 other blogs... But - after having joined the gypsy caravan of the One World One Heart event - it's impossible for me to pass it on to just 7!!! There are so many awesome blogs out there! I pass this award on to all the participants of OWOH! thank you all for showing your wonderful artwork!
I made this simple card for the TGIF challenge this week. The background is cheap brown paper - crumpled and sponged with bleach, then I sanded it a little. The writing and the watch are white embossed and highlighted with perfect pearls. That never shows on the screen though... :(
Perfect theme for me :)) alot of my projects include lace, I can never get enough of it...
I also used some pink pepper on this one - I brought it home from Egypt about five years ago. It looks and smells so nice, but there is no way I would ever acctually EAT any of it - The color is not even waterproof ;)
So the theme of this card may as well be : Sugar and spice and all the things nice - that's what little girls are made of :))
The one world - one heart event was started to get to know bloggers from all over the world. Take a look here for more information. It's the first time I'm participating but I read alot about it last year.
I am giving away this patchworked handbag.
All you have to do to be able to win it, is be an active blogger and leave a comment to this post. I will draw the name of the winner and have it published by February 12th.
I hope I got everything right and I'm really looking forward to this event :)
Please do not post anymore - I will draw the winner today, Feb. 12th 09
Ok, I really like to look at black and white combinations but I am so bad at creatig them - To me my pieces always look too naked *sigh* So I decided to make a miniature gothic arch for this challenge. Just some time ago I finished John Irving's "Until I find you"... so now you know where the inspiration came from *lol* Not quite as thrilling as some of his other novels but still worth reading...
I got this wonderful award from Willy. Thank you so much! :)) So the thing about this award is that you have to nominate seven blogs with their blog links, email them and post this award on your blog with the link going back to the person who awards you.
Now nominating just seven blogs is quite a challenge because there are so many blogs I love to visit...
My first nomination is Sija - although I'm almost sure that she has gotten the award several times already :))
Hello to everyone visiting my blog! I've got a little thank you for all of you who stop by and leave such wonderful, encouraging comments. Winter is coming closer and it's time to think about christmas cards - well it is if you are as slow as I am... :)) My bolg candy is a sheet of rubber stamps by Nara Studio. All you have to do is leave a comment on my blog and a link in your blog until September 12th and I will draw the lucky winner of the sheet, and then, there are still 3 single stamps to give away...
